Iris Heaven

We live in Iris Heaven. They were here long before we arrived but here are a few pictures (photoshopped obviously) that show you how pretty our yard was before they died recently. I didn't realize iris's came in so many different colors! They are so pretty!

It's Gardening Time!

We recently finished our garden on Saturday the 23rd of May. It took a total of 2 evenings and 1 day to finish. It consists of strawberries, watermelon, belle peppers, grape tomatoes, string beans, cucumbers, and a pumpkin. We are now crossing our fingers that it will grow. We put a lot of work into it and we are hoping to reep what we have sowed.

Day 1: Create grow boxes. Isn't my husband so cute! He loved getting out his tools and working with his hands in the dirt!

I did most of the hoing and breaking up of the ground.

I look extremely ecstatic don't I?

Morgan cleaning up for the evening.

Day 2: Putting up the fence. (We have deer out here in the country that like to venture into the gardens).

Day 3: The planting phase.

Here's a picture of Morgan putting in the irrigation system. He is so handy!

The finished product! Secured with plastic gate and all.

Official Annoucement...We're Pregnant!

Yes, it's true. We are pregnant! We actually found out March 1st but we didn't tell our family until we were about 7 weeks along and all others until we were 12 weeks along. Now we are on our 16th week, in our 4th month and we are excited for what is to come.

Yes, I had morning sickness from week 7 through week 12 or 13 (it wasn't nearly as bad as most cases that I've heard of) but it still wasn't fun. Everyday, during morning sickness, after work, you'd find me on the couch or in bed because I was extremely tired and hungry to the point where I was sick to my stomache. Food never sounded good but it was the only cure for the sick stomache. I am now learning that it is necessary to eat every couple of hours and even then munching during that time is comforting to the tummy. Now I'm in the phase where I just look quite pudgy and don't quite fit into my jeans like I used to. It's sure nice to have my energy back. My moods haven't been to crazy. I still have a hard time figuring out what to eat. I've had quite a few headaches and have felt faint and dizzy at times, but it's all worth it. It's been fun thus far and we are excited to become parents. The Lord has really answered our prayers.

Here is our at home test result!

Here is our excited faces just after we found out we were pregnant! Morgan looks more stunned than anything else;)

Introducing "Baby X"! At week 10 I went in for my first appointment with my doctor and she tried to find the heartbeat but couldn't so she did a quick ultrasound.
