This is how we feel about the snow...

As you will see in the next post, it snowed this past weekend. As you will also see with pictures, you will see how some of us took out Mr. Slushy with tomahawks. Then there were some of us who just had to tackle him. It was fun!

"Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow"... what?

So this last Saturday it snowed. It seemed so out of the blue because just a few days before we were enjoying beautiful weather in the 60's!
We played outside with Chris, Kareena and Ty. It was a blast!
Cute lil' Ty.
Our little Samuel.
Noel helping build "Slushy the Snowman".
Sam fell out of the sled. ;)
Ready to go down!
He seemed to like it!

Noel loves the snow!
Sam was throwing snowballs at Chris.
Mr. Slushy is almost done...
...so that we can show him how we feel about winter! Ha!
I love this picture!
Chris throwing.
Morgan took a turn.
Kareena took a whack at it and got him right in the chest!
She's amazing!
Morgan took a turn tackling Mr. Slushy.
As you can see, it was hilarious!
No, he did not get hurt!
But Mr. Slushy did.

About a week ago we had one of my best friends, Rachel, and her family over for dinner.
Noel had fun playing with Alyssa. They were dancing in the kitchen. It was so stinkin' cute!
When it wasn't so cold and snowing, about a week ago, we were outside most days. On one particular day I took some fun pictures.
Ty's outfit that day was awesome! The word "Rambo" comes to mind when I see this picture. He's too cute!

 The kids, hanging out.
This is the pose that you will find Sam in a lot of the time, but if he's facing you and if he looks like this, watch out, he usually never misses your face. He has a good arm and aim, already!

Our little dancer

Noel had her dance recital this last Thursday. It was so fun as a parent to watch our little girl be involved in something such as this. I do have to admit that I cried when she walked onto the stage and started dancing to the first song. Not only did I realize that she is growing up but it is such a joy to watch her learn and grow and do something that she loves to do and have fun with it. And despite being self conscious, she performed well. I think she will want to do this again!
Mikey came to support little Noel! She sure loves her Uncle Mikey!
Grandma and Grandpa Young came all the way out to see Noel dance. We sure enjoyed having them here. We visited, went to Noel's recital, they took us shopping for the kids, went out to lunch and dinner and we all thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment that the kids provided. They were so happy when Grandma and Grandpa Young were here. Thank you so much for coming out here Mary and Gary. We enjoyed every second.
Noel received a certificate for "fantastic dancing" along with a flower for her hair. She has worn it every day since.
 Happy and proud parents.
The following morning Chris and Kareena and Ty came down to watch the video of Noel's recital and Ty was giving Sam hugs. It was so cute! He is so good at giving hugs.

Scary things are happening around these parts...

A couple quick stories...
Last week I was in the kitchen doing dishes and Noel and Sam were playing happily with their toys (or so I thought). I heard a strange noise that sounded like a fuse was blown but I heard it coming from the hallway. I ran around the corner and Noel was pinned up against the opposing wall to this outlet below. She was wide eyed and looked extremely nervous and scared and was shaking a little. There was a night light in the outlet at the time and she thought it was a great idea to hang a hanger on it. Once I saw all of that I asked her if she was okay and she said "yah" but was still shaky and scared. I gave her some hugs and took the hanger off of the night light very carefully and took some pictures. She later was explaining to me that there was fire and it was very scary. I don't think she was literally shocked because luckily the majority of the hanger was plastic except for the top part.
 Good bye night light!

 One more story.
A few days ago I finished putting Sam down for a nap, came out of his bedroom, sat down on the couch next to Noel where she was snuggled up in a blanket. She was kind of hiding under the blanket and pointed over towards the tv area and said, "Mommy. Look. There are scary eyes." I looked over and this is what I saw. The light was reflecting off of the top of a pot from her play kitchen creating these "scary eyes" on the wall. How scary is that? I started laughing so hard and told her she doesn't need to be scared and I moved the top
of the pot and she saw that it wasn't real.

Finally a video of Sam walking...

Here is a short video of Sam walking. He has been walking since mid January but it's fun to actually see it.
(This is mainly for you Les;))

Dance Class

Noel will be finishing up her first dance class session this week.
Her last class is on Wednesday and her dance recital is on Thursday.
I can't wait!!

Forward MARCH

Here are a few new pictures of the kids as of late. Life is good. The weather is getting warmer and we try to soak in every bit we can when it comes. We're talking low 50's high 40's. It's beautiful!

This is a picture of Noel on our Mommy/Daughter date that we had a little over a month ago.
Mmmmm. Yummy Coldstone.
The kids have been sick a few times in the past couple months but have recovered well. We had to use the nebulizer on Sam each time he's been sick, poor guy.  He had an ear infection and was put on antibiotics with the most recent sickness he had. Each time he gets sick I get so nervous but he recovers well each time.
Sam has developed quite the personality. This is the face I get when I tell him to say, "Cheese".
We've been playing outside a lot lately. The kids like to play in the
snow that has almost melted away completely.

Mikey, I think you know why I put this picture here;) This is how Sam walks some of the time. He looks like a monkey with his arms up over his head as he's walking towards you. It's hilarious!

Noel loves to wear dresses everyday now. She loves to play outside and loves the sunlight. She runs and dances around when she gets to go outside.

 Sam's lil' profile.
 Noel chasing Sam.

I love this picture! This just says it all.

We sure love our kids. They are such a joy. It's crazy how fast they grow.
