Apple Hill Adventures

On Friday the 14th, I decided to get off work early so Morgan and I could spend some time together. Morgan got home from work around 2pm, got ready and we were off to Apple Hill. We walked around a bit and bought some apple cider and some asian pears. We then drove around the beautiful terrain. We came upon Larsen Park and sat at a picnic table to talk and relax. The time of day was perfect to be driving around to see the beautiful world that our Heavenly Father has made for us. The colors were amazing and the land out there is just beautiful. It was so nice to spend some quality time with the love of my eternity.

WANTED AD

At the end of this December, our lease will be up. We are in the process of looking for a place to live. We are particularly interested in granny flats but we are open to anything that is in the area of Cameron Park and under $700/month. If anyone knows of any decent places to live in the area please let us know. Thanks all!

Tag! We're it!

What is your husbands name? Morgan Sean Young
How long have you been married? 10 months, 5 days, 6 hrs, 9 minutes, and 45 seconds
How long did you date? We started “hanging out” in June 2007 with a big group of people, and in the beginning of July we started to pair off, and in the middle of July became exclusive, and on September 5th got engaged so we dated exclusively for a couple months.
How old is he? 23
Who eats more sweets? Honestly that is a toss up. He goes crazy with the ho ho’s (zingers particularly), reeses, and cookie dough and I go crazy with the ice cream and cookies. Morgan could really lay off the ho ho's though.:)
Who said I love you first? Morgan said it first. He was a counselor at EFY and during one of our long phone conversations one night, we were talking about our feelings for one another and he said, “Terie, I’m just going to say it. I love you!” And of course, I said it back.
Who is taller? Morgan is.
Who can sing the best? I can carry a tune but Morgan can sing much better. You should sit by him in Sacrament Meeting. He was quite the entertainer today singing operatic to the song “Count Your Many Blessings”. Some young women nearby were laughing along with me. He never ceases to make me laugh.
Who is smarter? Morgan is smarter. He is good at every subject.
Who does the laundry? Um, it’s pretty equal.
Who pays the bills? I do most of the financial stuff but we both do the budgeting.
Who mows the lawn? Ha. If only we had a lawn.
Who cooks dinner? It’s pretty equal here too. Morgan made an amazing salmon dinner tonight. And last week he made this most amazing beef dinner that I loved so much that I asked him to make it the following night, and guess what...he did! He’s a really good cook.
Who drives? Morgan drives most of the time.
Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? Good question. I’d like to say it’s pretty equal but I think Morgan says it more just because he likes to resolve things quicker than I do (but I’m not saying I’m always right and that he’s always wrong). We compromise.
Who kissed who first? Well, funny story. Morgan and I were star gazing on his parents roof and we were both standing up and talking (random visual). He was looking at me and said “I really want to kiss you right now.” And me being as awkward as I am said “Is that a bad thing?” He then said “No, I just don’t know how.” Now, envision someone kissing the lips of a manakin and that was about what it would’ve looked like and felt like. It was the most awkward kiss you could ever think of but so cute looking back on it. We’re pros now;)
Who asked who out first? Morgan asked me out first, finally!! It seemed like it took him forever but really it was just a few weeks or so.
Who wears the pants? Morgan does, I think. But I feel like I take them from him a lot. Oh man, they’re on me right now!! Nah, it's pretty equal. We each wear one leg.

All in all, we contribute equally in our relationship. We talked about this idea when we were engaged. Morgan and I wanted to make sure that we thought the other to be our equal. Still to this day, I feel I have to stand on my tippy toes and try to lengthen my neck to reach where he is at. That was my goal: to find someone that would make me want to be a better person and make me stretch. I've found him folks, and his name is Morgan Sean Young. I love him dearly.

CONFERENCE WEEKEND

Morgan and I had the priviledge of going to Utah this weekend with my mom and dad. We left for Utah on Thursday around 2pm, stopped in Reno to visit Leslie and Jason and family, and continued on until we arrived at the cabin around 4am friday morning. Chris, who is going to BYU in Provo, came up to the cabin and Mikey came down from BYU-Idaho with Chris's girlfiend Marianne. We all went to the Saturday morning session of General Conference. It was so wonderful. We had a wonderful weekend and a great visit with family and friends. The colors up the canyon were beautiful as you can see. We left for home on Sunday around 2pm arrived just after midnight. Another memory to add to our lives here on this earth.

We were a little bored in car on the way home.

The Bread Fee-asco

The bible says, "man shall not live by bread alone" but with this loaf man sure could...and woman for that matter. (We doubled our french bread recipe to accomodate the amount of people we needed to feed without thinking of making two separate loaves:))
