My Birthday Present to Morgan

So I finally finished Morgan's birthday present! I started it a couple of weeks or so before his birthday in July and finished it about a week ago. It took a long time but it was fun. It gave me something to do the nights that Morgan was working or doing homework. I didn't really have a pattern to follow so it's not as cool as the ones you'd find in stores but it adds character to our little home.

There's nothing like having clean carpets...

Morgan and I have been getting things ready for baby and in order to start we wanted our carpets to be cleaned. They were getting pretty bad. Moving all of the furniture out and around was quite the task while being pregnant but I survived. We haven't taken a picture of the finished product but will do so soon when we get the baby's room situated.

Holy Watermelon!

Our garden is still producing! It's amazing! It has one more watermelon which I'm sure is probably just about done and we have a pumpkin that we will soon cut into for the Halloween festivities!

Obama Health Reform and Wait Times Visualization (In Lego!)

We definitely feel that this guy spells it out perfectly! The legos are a nice touch. Enjoy!

31 Week Baby Bump

Here's a 31 week baby bump picture. Only 9 weeks to go! We are very excited and anxious, and yes, quite nervous but most of all we can't wait to become a mom and a dad.

My 25th Birthday & Our Getaway

Early in the morning on the my birthday, the 5th, Morgan snuck out of bed to run a few errands and get a few things before I woke up. I woke up just before he returned and was about to come out of the bathroom when he returned and asked me to stay in there til' he was done. Finally he let me out and on our dining room table found flowers, two donuts (one in which he lit with candles with the # 25), a card and a gift. He is so sweet. He made my birthday so special. I love him so much and am so grateful for him. He is such a blessing in my life. I had such a wonderful birthday.

Later that morning, we packed up our things and left town. We were on our way to South Lake Tahoe for the weekend. Our plans of being there in the early afternoon changed when just past Pollock Pines our Check Engine Light went on. We were blessed to not be far from a familiar mechanics place in Pollock Pines where we found out that there was a problem with our Transmission (of all things!):) Luckily we have two cars (we thought we took the more reliable one). We drove home, switched cars and we were off, again.

We stayed at the Lakeside Inn & Casino in Stateline, Nevada. We had a wonderful time. Sunday night we watched fireworks over Lake Tahoe which was so fun.

Monday morning, we were planning on going on the Gondola in Lake Tahoe but tickets were $30 bucks a pop! Way too much for our blood so took a picture with the Gondola instead. Hey, it was free!

We then decided to walk around the shops for a couple hours. I thought this shirt was funny.

All in all, it was a great trip, it was just too quick, as always. We figured we'd get away one last time, just my hubby and I, before things change drastically in a little less than 9 weeks.
