4 month Update

Noel is just over 4 months old now. It's amazing how fast she has grown. She had her 4 month check up and shots a week and a half ago. I can't stand being there when she is getting her shots because I get pretty emotional, so I go outside. I realize I need to toughen up because I am being a horrible mother by not being there by her side so that will hopefully come before her next shots in a couple months. This last time I heard her screaming from outside and there weren't any open windows! Man, it just rips your heart out to hear your child screaming and crying so hard. She developed a new wine/squeel because of her soreness for about a week after her shots but it seems to have gone away for the most part. I will post a video at the end of this post to show how cute her squeeling was. At her appointment she weighed 14 lbs 11 oz. She gained 2 lbs since her 2 month check up! She is in the 90th percentile as far as her height and 80th percentile for her weight. Morgan and I are just so blessed to have such a healthy little girl. We are having so much fun being parents and we are learning so much from such a beautiful, innocent little child of God.

Recently I have been making "yo yo's". They are cute fabric flowers and you can make many different things out of them. I was inspired to make them from my really good friend Melese! Thanks Melese! She also gave me the idea to make yo yo headbands. I think they are so adorable and really easy to make. Here are a few recent pictures of Noel with one of the headbands I made.

Here's a couple pictures of my dad with Noel. They were talking to each other on the floor. It was cute!

Don't worry she didn't eat the weeds. She was just playing with them;)

Noel with her Dad. He is so wonderful!

What Noel has been up to

...sleeping...

...playing...

...tummy time...

...and jabbering. (This video was taken about a week ago one morning at 3am. For a couple of weeks she started going to sleep anywhere between 7 & 8pm and she'd wake up between 2:00 and 4:00a.m. and stay up for 2 hrs at a time. We are trying to correct that now by keeping her up later and it is working...for the most part ;)

We love beautiful weather!

We went on a couple of walks this past week and on the second walk we decided to take the camera with us. It was too beautiful not to, plus, I feel like we've been lacking in the picture taking area. Here are some of the pictures we took.

Her purty blues. You can really see her blonde streak in this picture.

Patty Cake

Here is a video of Noel enjoying "Patty Cake". I didn't know it was with a "B" for "baby". I thought it was with a "P" for "Patty Cake". :)

I just love Noel's laugh. I replay her laugh over and over again in my head and it brings a smile to my face:)

SEW, it begins...

Recently I have become a sewing FANATIC! I absolutely LOVE sewing now!! My parents gave me a sewing machine for Christmas and it has become my favorite hobby at the moment. I found a cute pattern for a purse and made a couple of them. I also made some curtains for our kitchen and some curtain strap thingys that hold the curtains back.

Here are some pictures of the purses that I made. The brown one is made out of the material that I got from my Grandma (my dad's mom) when she passed away. All of the girls that got some material were to make something out of it.

Here is a curtain valance that I made (I think that is what you call them)...

...and the curtains.

2 tHiNgS

There are many things that I didn't realize that you become when you are a mother. Two of the things are:

1. A human burp rag...

2. A human vending machine...

They are both such bonding experiences though:). Any moms out there agree?

That's all. :)

Motherhood

I just thought I would take the time to express my thoughts on being a mom. Noel finally is taking a nap so I now have a short period of time to share what has been on my mind. I have only been a mom for a short while but I have learned so much in these past 3 months. I have learned that I need to be more patient and I pray everynight for more patience. I didn't realize the devotion and dedication that mothers have towards their children. I can only imagine what my mom went through with all of us 5 kids in the house.

One things I'd just like to say is:

Thank you Mom for raising us kids to who we are today. You are such a wonderful mother and I couldn't have asked for more. Thank you for your devotion to your family and to the Lord and keeping us all happy and healthy. Thank you for putting up with the wining, crying, pouting, shouting, screaming,...etc. Most of all, thank you for your patience. Thank you for being there when I was sad and trying to understand me and hearing me out when I was mad. I love you so much and appreciate all that you have done and continue to do for me and all of us!

Love,
Terie
