A gazillion pictures from a wonderful weekend

Last Thursday my parents came into town. They said they were going to be here Thursday night but surprised us Thursday morning. What a wonderful surprise! We sure enjoyed the time that we spent with them here. After they got into town they took us all to lunch. Friday morning my parents took Sam and Noel for a walk to the park. Later on in the day my dad and Mikey watched our kids while my mom, Kareena and I went shopping. That was a blast! That night we had a yummy salmon dinner that my parents made. Saturday morning Grandpa set up Noel's new slippin' slide they Grandma and Grandpa bought for her and they both played and played. Later, we went up to our family cabin up in Provo Canyon and went hiking, fishing, and celebrated Sam's and my brother Chris's birthdays. Sunday we all went to church together and my parents left after Sacrament Meeting to go see my brother Mikey speak in church as well as sing. They left after that to go home. It was a quick visit but we enjoyed every minute that they spent here. Each night we also played games. That was one of my favorite parts of the visit.

She also played in her pool.

My dad getting some air. You are amazing Dad!
Sam touching the water.

Grandma had just left Sam briefly and he wasn't too happy.
Here are the pics from Saturday afternoon at the cabin. Mikey weed whacked around the cabin. Please note his amazing yellow extension cord belt. Love it!
Sam sitting up and playing with some toys.
He was sure getting around well. He crawled up a little step into the other room. He's almost to crawling all the time!
Me making the cake. It was a NICU monitor screen with a fun lifeline design.

On our walk I took a lot of pictures.

Kareena caught the first fish!

Chris and Kareena. Such a cute couple.
Grandpa caught a fish!

Grandma fishin'. She caught a fish as well but I wasn't around to take a picture.

Chris of course caught a fish... and then some. He's the fish whisperer.

My buddy and I.
Morgan came up a few hours after we went up. He's got finals this week that he's been preparing for.

There is a pasture off of the same road as the cabin and we went to feed the horses.
They were very friendly.
Noel was brave and fed one of the horses.

Sam's birthday party. I can't believe he is 1!
Morgan let him have at the cake. I think he liked it.

Messy boy.
We then used the same cake to sing to Chris for his birthday that is coming up this weekend. My parents wanted to celebrate it while they were here.
Thank you mom and dad for coming here to visit. We had such a great time with you guys here. We wish it could've been longer. WE LOVE YOU!!!

A week with Michela

So last week was a blast. A family friend of ours, Michela, stayed with us all of last week to help out and play with the kids. Noel was in heaven and Michela was so sweet and so helpful. She watched the kids while I did normal daily tasks. She watched them so Morgan and I could go out on a date. She watched baby Ty ustairs a lot to help out Chris and Kareena as well. The purpose of her coming out here was to help and she definitely did that and more. Thank you so much Michela. We had such a good time with you. You are such a sweet heart.

During the week we went swimming out in Saratoga Springs. The pool that we went to is amazing. It's heated by actual hot springs. Hence, the name of the city, Saratoga Springs. I had forgot Sam's hat so Kareena let me borrow Ty's beanie that she happened to have with her.
Here is Michela with Sam. I got to say, Michela is a baby whisperer. She put Sam down twice in the same day for a nap easily. It usually takes us much more effort to get him down. He just snuggled right up her.

 Michela with the kids.

If you're reading this Michela, we love you and thank you so much for coming out here. You are amazing! Thanks for all of the help!!!

Memorial Day Weekend in Park City

For Memorial Day weekend my brother Mikey, and my other brother Chris and his wife, Kareena, their baby Ty and our little family went to Park City. Originally the plan was to spend a lot of time in the sun. We specifically got a condo with a pool for this purpose. But, of course it rained/snowed a lot of the time we were there. We still had a blast. It was a good break and it was fun spending time together. We played games, watched movies, made gourmet pizzas and lots of junk food:)

Saturday morning. Mikey and Ty playing on the ground.
On this trip, Sam played on the ground a lot and started getting up on his hands and knees. He even crawled (just a few steps) here and there. It was so exciting.
Baby Ty. He is sooooo adorable.
 Our precious Noel.
 Chris playing with Noel.
This condo had a huge glass goblet. Mikey used it for his chocolate milk each morning.

Mikey made his yummy and very spicy salsa.
Mikey and Noel in their blankets.
 Our cute little Sam.
Gourmet pizza night. Mikey used to work at Brick Oven Pizza in Provo, so he showed us how to make gourmet pizzas.
Sam and Ty spent a lot of time together on the ground. It looks like Sam is consoling Ty. This is what I imagine Sam saying to Ty, "It's okay Ty. Gas is normal."
So Kareena taught Mikey how to have fun with whipped cream.
They were pretty darn synchronized in their funness.

The view from the loft in the condo.
 Ooops. Someone stole a kiss;)
Thanks for a great weekend guys!!!
