Our lil' Superheros!

Recently, the kids enjoy dressing up as superheros. Their capes, hand towels or shirts. It is too dang cute. They run around and make whooshing sounds like they are flying.

I love these looks on Sam's face.

Our lil' Sickie

So Noel is a little sickie. A week and a half ago or so she started coughing and having a very stuffy/runny nose. Then it evolved into goopy, red, swollen, ithcy, eyes with a fever and then this morning we found this, a bloody red patch in her eye. It happened overnight and we think that she may have rubbed it too hard or poked it while rubbing, or possibly coughing so hard and so much (which she does all night) that a blood vessel burst in her poor little. She is now on antibiotics in her eyes and hopefully it will clear up in the next 3-5 days. She doesn't get much sleep at all at night and is such a trooper.
She still finds time to smile and play with Sam. She does well during the day. It's just during the night that things are pretty rough.

Our lil' ham. He is sick too and possibly has/had the same thing as Noel with the goopy eyes and such but he has done well with it surprisingly enough.

4th of July Week

For the week of the 4th of July my sister Emilie and her family were in town. We visited them up at the cabin a couple of times. Good times. Good times.

OH, AND NOEL GOT A HAIRCUT! It's hard to see in these pics but there will be pictures to come to show how adorable it is.

We visited the horses that are in a pasture near the cabin. The horses really didn't want anything to do with us after about a minute of walking over to us.
 Pretty lil' wildflowers.
On a lil' walk. The kiddos looking at the creek.

Art Festival and Sam's Birthday

Last Friday I took the kids to a Children's Art Festival. It's part of the annual Art City Days Festivities. They got their faces painted. That WAS a baseball on Sam's face.
Noel got a cupcake painted on her face.
 Playing with stamps.
 Drawing with chalk.

 My family in their sunglasses.
We celebrated Samuel's birthday just as a family here in UT since we celebrated with family and friends in CA. It was just a chocolate chip cookie cake with the chocolate chips creating the number 2.
Sam opening up his presents and showing me. It was so cute!
 Searching for more...
Sam's shirt says, "Mommy says I'm a catch". So true. He's been my little buddy and we've bonded quite a bit in the last month.

Trip to CA and AZ

A couple weeks ago we took a trip to CA. We had a blast.

Noel with Grandma Young.
Grandpa Young with Sam.
Sam with his Great-Grandmother (Nanna)
We took a trip to the Folsom Zoo.

We got together with Samuel's Primary Care Nurses from the NICU. It was so fun to see them and have them see Samuel and how much he has grown. We just love them and are so grateful for them and their friendship.

This is Suzanne, Samuel's night shift nurse.
This is Gail, Samuel's day shift nurse.

We celebrated Samuel's birthday while back in CA.

I randomly decided to stay in CA and take a trip to AZ with my parents to go see my sister and her family for her baby's blessing. We went to Home Depot for a Children's Workshop Activity. It was so fun!

We went to a cool event with a splash pad, free popcorn, free water, and free ICE CREAM SANDWICHES!. This was a blast as well.

We also went swimming. It felt so good. It was soooo hot there!
Me and my lil' buddy.
Scorpions are prevalent in AZ and amazingly enough they glow when a black light is on them. My dad went hunting in his brothers backyard at night to find these suckers (more like stingers and pinchers, heehee).
My parents are so wonderful. They drove the kids and I all the way back home to UT from AZ. It was such a fun trip! We stopped a few times to see the sights and to buy some jewelry made by the Native Americans who lived in the area. Thank you so much Mom and Dad. I will remember that trip forever. I love you both so much!
Looking at the Colorado River. It was a long way down.

Running to Grandpa.
My mom took with picture of the Colorado River.

Grandma and Noel. I love this picture!
