The campground host warned us that there had been bears there every night and to put our food under our table with a tarp or something over it. Um yah, doesn't sound right at all right? There were signs up that said to put your food in your vehicle or in a tree. We did the vehicle thing. Anyways, after setting up our tent and starting a fire, we had foil wrapped dinners and went to bed.
Normally, it takes me forever to get to sleep and so I was just laying there an hour or so after we went to bed and I heard a sound coming from the dumpster nearby and then heavy breathing and something walking through our campsite! It was a bear! I woke Morgan up and he didn't hear it! I was literally scared stiff. Noel was in her portacrib at our feet and I thought she was going to get eaten by the bear and that we were going to get eaten by the bear. I was awake for the rest of the night. Around 2am or so, Noel woke up and started crying and I had Morgan get her. I was too scared. I fed her and she stayed with us the rest of the night in our sleeping bag. I felt less scared having her with me because I felt that she was a little more safe than by herself in the portacrib. The rest of the night I was wide-eyed listening to all of the noises that come with camping...and bears. I kept praying that we would all be safe and that the bear wouldn't come eat us. Our prayers were answered. I watched the moon move across the sky and finally just before 6am, it was light enough to where I felt comfortable putting Noel back in her portacrib so I did. I then laid down and got all cozy and... Noel woke up. She was in such a good mood too and was being so cute. I couldn't get mad. So there you have it. That was our trip. I think next time we will go where there will be less of a chance of bears.
Noel and I in front of the fire friday night. It was pretty darn cold. Noel looked like a lil' elf:)

Noel and her dad.
Noel fell asleep watching the fire.
Just chillin' in the tent.
As we were packing up, a bird landed less than a foot away from Morgan's feet. It was so random. It was a very friendly bird.
