January

January was fun and went by so fast. We've been up to a lot:)

There was an awesome deal on chicken breasts at the beginning of the month. We purchased 40 lbs of it and canned it all! We thought it would make a lot more than this but it sure was fun to be all homemakery:)
Sam is officially potty trained! He started showing interest before Christmas and he's been in underwear for almost two weeks now. He's amazing. In the beginning, when he'd go #2 in the potty, the deal was that I'd take him to get a donut. Well, he went 4 times in one day and so he got 1 donut for the first time, 1/2 of a donut the second time, and the third and fourth I thought more donuts would be just crazy to fill him with in the same day, so we started doing a sucker each time he'd go. YAY NO MORE DIAPERS IN THIS HOUSE!

Noel is doing very well in preschool and absolutely loving it. Right now, she is learning how to read and write and spell. This is what she brought home the other day. It's a picture of our family. Don't you just love why she loves her family? Ha! I love that girl:)
We've had some nice warm days so we've taken advantage and played outside here and there.

We've played at the park.

Noel and I had some good snuggle time outside on a day when she was pretty sad because a play date fell through.
Morgan took Noel out on a Father/Daughter Date. They went to Panda Express, went bowling and then to Coldstone to get some ice cream, all Noel's choices.
On that same day, Sam and I went on a Mother/Son Date. We went to feed some ducks, went to Chili's and the Dollar Store, all Sam's choices as well.
Feeding the ducks.
Sam has the cutest and silliest expressions lately. Here he is waiting at Chili's to be seated.
Eating at chili's. Another Silly Sam face.
Playing outside again.
Sam and Noel have been getting along so well lately. They were "reading books" to each other the other day and when it was Sam's turn to read the books, he grabbed Noel's hand and had her put her arm around him and over his shoulder. It was precious.
Some more of Sam's faces lately.

Noel has just as silly of faces.

Sometimes the kids just make up their own fun. On this particular evening it was flying off of the couch.

A couple days ago we went to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi with one of Sam's friends, Milo, and his mom. It was a lot of fun. The kids loved it!

Sam and the mammoth.
Their scared faces just say it all.
Hands on activity with sand and water and burying and digging up miniature dinosaur figurines.
