The past 2 1/2 months...picture overload!

Well, it's been a busy 3 months since Evelyn was born. As of yesterday, she is officially 3 months old. Adjusting to 3 kids has been a challenge but I'm figuring it out. Evelyn was extremely fussy for the first 2 months but the last couple weeks she's been less fussy and more pleasant AND she's been sleeping anywhere from 7-9 hours a night for the last week or so. She goes to sleep at night so much more easily than Noel and Sam ever did. I'll nurse her just before she goes down for the night and lay her down and she doesn't get up for 7-9 hours! Sometimes I can even put her down when she's awake but sleepy, and she'll go right to sleep, I just have to make sure I got all of her burps out of her;) But during the day is a different story. She doesn't sleep for me during the day really. At most she will sleep for 45 minutes or so, and that's sometimes in her bed, sometimes in the swing, sometimes in the car seat or in my arms. I'm trying to get that all to change but it's hard. But I'd rather have her sleep during the night than during the day for sure. I feel blessed. She is smiling a lot and started cooing a little. She squeaks more than she coos. It's the cutest thing. She also giggles more and more every day. At her 2 month check up (which actually was at 2 1/2 months exactly) she weighed 12 lbs 1 oz so she's in the 50th%ile for her weight and she's 24" long which is the 90th%ile for height. She's gained about 4 lbs since birth and has grown 4". It's amazing how much she has changed in the last 3 months. We sure love having her in our family.
A couple weeks after she was born I took the kids to the splash pad.

Noel lost her first upper front tooth.
Evelyn has changed so much since this picture! She doesn't even look like this anymore. It's crazy!
The kids are always asking to hold her. I'm so glad they enjoy her. They are so entertained by her much of the time.

Noel started 1st grade at the end of August. That was a rough day for me. She is gone ALL DAY LONG as opposed to just a few hours like in Kindergarten. I sure miss her during day.
Here's a picture of Sam giving her a hug in front of her classroom, just before she started her first day of school. I love their relationship. Sam sure misses Noel when she's gone all day, as well.
After I picked her up that day, she had a big smile on her face. She absolutely loves her teacher and 1st grade.
More snuggles with Evelyn.
Noel started her first year of soccer. This was the day of her first game.
Noel has been reading a lot and reading very well. She loves reading to Sam and Sam looks forward to the reading portion of her homework so she can read to him. She also reads to him after we tuck them in at night.
Best buddies.

Noel and Sam were invited over across the street to play with some of their friends. Noel's little friend, William, is the little boy who leaves goodies on the doorstep for her, and his brother is Sam's friend, Matthew. I peaked out the window here and there and this is what I saw. Noel and her friend William on a lil' jeep driving around. It was too cute.
Sam color coordinating his blocks.
Morgan's parents came for a visit and were able to meet Evelyn. We had such a good time. They were able to see one of Noel's soccer games.
Beautiful scenery after her game that evening...
...and such a beautiful sunset.
My parents also came into town. My dad's 60th birthday fell on this weekend and so a surprise party was thrown for him at my sister Emilie's home. My dad was very surprised and there were a lot of people, family and friends, who were able to attend to show their love for him. It was such a fun time!

SURPRISE!

Evelyn's baby blessing was conveniently that weekend as well while all the family was in town. We had so many people that came to show their love and support and we sure appreciate all who came.

Afterwards, we had a get together at our home and ate in the backyard. The weather was perfect and we had a great time visiting with all those who were able to attend.

Samuel had his first day of preschool. We thought long and hard about whether or not to do another year of preschool for Sam and felt it best to have him do one more year. It'll give him one more year to solidify what he knows and give him a boost in more knowledge, confidence, and physical growth.
Our lil' Sam.
I had my 32nd birthday and this is the card that I got from Morgan. He thinks he's so funny. I got a very similar one from him last year. He sure makes me laugh.

More snuggles with baby sister.

Love the faces she makes.
The kids had dentist appointments and Noel had an extremely loose tooth going into the appointment and came out with a lost tooth. Her dentist "sneezed" and "bumped" it and it came out. She wasn't so sure after it happened, hence the picture below...
...but it all paid off, literally. That tooth fairy is very busy lately with this girl.
Evelyn and her smiles.
Noel loves her lil' sister.

There have been a few afternoons where Sam and I walked to pick up Noel from school. Sam would ride his bike or his scooter and I would drag Noel's scooter and helmet along with us so Noel could ride it home.

On the way home we discovered this very large spider! (No, it's not real:)

Evelyn sleeping peacefully.
Noel's soccer pictures. They turned out so cute! (Don't mind the reflection on these pics, I took a picture of the pictures)

Chris and Kareena have a bunch of apple trees and let us come pick a bunch of apples. We made 24 jars of applesauce with them. Thank you so much Chris and Kareena!

The kids liked to help.
We took a drive up through the Nebo Loop starting in Payson. It was beautiful! The fall colors were almost at their peak!

We took a short walk to see "Devil's Kitchen - a Mini Bryce Canyon"
It was GORGEOUS!
It's very hard to see but in this picture below, Sam fell asleep in Noel's bed. It was so cute to find them like that when I checked on them before going to bed.
We recently had a fire up the canyon near us.
Beautiful rainbow.
Love those Evelyn smiles.
Noel's 1st Grade Class had a Grandparents Program where all the students' grandparents were invited to attend and they performed some songs and recited lines about grandparents. Noel did such a great job.
Noel and I went on a Mommy Daughter Date. She chose to go to Culver's (a delicious burger and fries joint near us) as well as buy some puzzles and games from Walmart to play at home.
We did make a pit stop at the Dollar Store because she had earned 10 stickers on her sticker chart at home. Here she is goofing off in the store with a mask.
Morgan and I tag teamed with Evelyn, so Noel and I returned home from our date and then Morgan took Sam on a Father Son Date. Sam chose to go to Nickel Mania, which is an arcade, and went out to dinner.
Us gals watching the Women's Broadcast portion of General Conference.
Noel got to bring the class owl home from school.
At church, Sam learned about gifts that Heavenly Fathers blesses His children with. Sam learned of some gifts that he has been given.
Morgan's brother Brian came out for a visit. He helped Morgan can some apple pie filling with the leftover apples we had from Chris and Kareena.
Mmmmmmm. Can't wait til' Thanksgiving!
Brian and the kiddos on the trampoline.
We took Brian up Provo Canyon to see the sights and to go on a little hike to a place called Cascade Springs. It was so pretty.

A mountain tarantula. Ewww!

My dad's side of the family used to have a cabin up Provo Canyon so we drove past it and fed the horses that we used to feed when we'd visit when we were younger. It sure brought back some fun memories. I love this picture of Sam with his Uncle Brian.

Feeding the horses.
The rode to the cabin. I miss that place.
Noel had her last soccer game and Brian was able to be there for that too. It was a little chilly so Sam hopped in one of the camping chair covers to warm up. There was actually a thunderstorm not too far away from us during the game.
I had to take some fun action shots of Noel playing. It was sure fun to watch her learn a sport and have fun.

Love that look.
All throughout her last soccer game, she was playing with her other front tooth that was very loose. That night while Morgan, Brian and I were watching a movie, she came down all sleepy eyed, holding her tooth.
We had such a blast with Brian and we are so glad he came out to visit.

Sam playing Duck, Duck, Goose at his preschool.
Getting more smiles form Evelyn.

My parents and a family friend, Michela, came out for Conference Weekend and we had a girls night at Chili's.
My sister Leslie and her family also came out that weekend so we had all of the grandkids together. That was the last time that they would all be together for a while so we had to snap a picture with all 15 of them.
The guys all went to the Priesthood session together.
More smiles.

We sold our Honda. The transmission was going out on it for the gazillionth time so it was time to get rid of it. We were blessed to find someone who was willing to buy it.
Buddies playing in the front yard.
Sam's preschool had a field trip to Jaker's Pumpkin patch in Springville. It was fun getting to know some of the other mom's and most of all spending time with my lil' buddy and his classmates.
His class.
Sam and his friend Owen.
Trying to feed the kangaroo.
Playing in the cornpit.

I love these precious moments that I get to spend with Evelyn when the kids are gone at school. Not because I get to sleep (okay, so I like that part too) but because of the snuggles that I get to share with her. There's nothing like snuggling your baby.

Noel lost her 6th tooth at school a couple weeks ago. Ironically, she lost it while her class was watching a movie about brushing your teeth.
Evelyn had her immunizations at her 2 month check up. She was miserable, fussy and drowsy for a few days.
Her 2 month stats from her appointment.
Hanging out on a Sunday.
The kiddos LOVE to play games together especially Stratego.
While Noel is at school Sam is my little buddy.
Sam said he wanted to wear the dinosaur costume that he wore last year, for Halloween this year. Well, so much for that idea. It's good to know this kid is growing.
Evelyn has had some pretty happy moods here and there. She also interacts a little more and smiles and giggles more.
She HATES tummy time. I'm surprised I got this good of a picture of her doing tummy time.
The kids and I made Halloween sugar cookies.

Morgan got half of a friday off and we went to Jaker's Pumpkin Patch in Springville as a family. There were sooooo many people there it was insane! But we still had a blast. Noel loved jumping into the corn pit.
Morgan buried her in the corn.

 Petting zoo with a kangaroo!
Corn maze!
Hay ride.
We saw Sasquatch in the corn field!
After the Pumpkin Patch we got Papa Murphy's Jack-o-lantern Pizza...
...and had Young Family Theatre and watched the most recent Ice Age Movie.
We love our Evelyn.

Pumpkin carving.
The kids looked a lot like their pumpkins this year...Noel is missing teeth like her pumpkin.
And Sam makes this face all the time which ironically is the design he made for his pumpkin.

Noel's school pictures this year. I still can't believe she is in 1st grade.
I love it when Evelyn holds my hand.
Beautiful sunset last week.
Sleeping baby.

Evelyn has discovered her hands and has started to reach out to grab things a little bit here and there. She had fallen asleep holding onto the rings hanging from her carseat.
Then there was Halloween. Noel knew she wanted to be a witch from the beginning and I found this beautiful used witch costume from a facebook Online Yardsale page. She was the prettiest little witch I ever did see.
Noel had a Halloween Parade at school. It was fun to see her parade around in her costume with her classmates. Poor thing, she didn't look too happy during the parade. After we got home from picking her up I discovered she had a fever and complained of a headache and was extremely tired. So she went and took a nap.

Sam wasn't feeling too good either so he hung out on his bed while Noel napped. The nap helped her a little, enough to feel well enough to go trick-or-treating.
My cute hunk of a husband. He is the cutest nerd.
Sam was a ninja and Evelyn was a puppy.
Our cute puppy.
Sam is doing very well in preschool and has recently started an online preschool program called Upstart. He can write his name and last name all by himself.
I had him practice certain letters he's been learning about recently, A, B, C, D, X and the numbers 1 and 2. Wow. This kid amazes me.
