Sam and I snuggling while staying home from church. We think he ended up getting the tummy bug Noel had but a much more mild version and out the other end:/
Well, as you might remember our old dishwasher leaked and ruined our flooring in the kitchen 2-3 months ago. We finally figured out what we wanted to do and ultimately decided that we would just put tile in the kitchen instead of laying all new flooring all throughout the main level. Here is the before picture.
It was quite the process. Morgan's evenings were tied up doing the demo bit by bit.
Laying the backer board/cement board.
My brother Chris randomly showed up one Saturday to help. It was such a blessing. He came at the exact time we were about to begin this portion of the project where we were laying the last half of the tiles down. I was so tired and my back was hurting from being on my hands and knees helping Morgan as much as I could throughout the tiling project. It was sure a relief and helped a ton! Thanks so much Chris! You have no idea have much that helped and how much we appreciate the time you took to help us out that day when you could've been checking projects off your own list.
After the grout.
The kids and I made a Summer Bucket List. Noel wrote it out for us.
A random bike/scooter ride.
Reading books.
One night, we found Sam like this after checking on him after he'd gone to sleep, with a stuffed animal stuffed in his shirt. This was too hilariously cute not to share.
Helmet hair.
Running errands with their stuffed animals.
Now that it's hot, the splash pad has been fun to visit.
Running around with their capes at the splash pad.
They love riding their scooters and bikes. Noel is quite the pro at riding her scooter.
I found Sam randomly looking out our front window one day with his binoculars. He said he was looking for elk in the mountains. This is something that he would often see my brother Chris do when we lived in his basement. It was too cute.
Sam turned 5! I cannot believe this kid is already 5. I made him our traditional birthday cake pancakes for breakfast.
Because we would be celebrating Sam's birthday with a cake at a family reunion about a week later, we got Coldstone Cupcakes to celebrate with on his actual birthday. He loved them as you can tell.
Opening up presents.
Noel gave Sam a framed picture of the two of them and some mini toy dinosaurs she bought from the Dollar Store. She was so excited to give him her gifts. She is such a sweetheart and Sam really loved the gifts.
The kiddos were washing their bikes one morning as I was vacuuming and cleaning out our van.
While at Walmart one day, we found some "swirly poo" bean bag chairs.
We have been having some fun decorating and finally feeling more settled in our home. We purchased a fun wall clock and other decor items and made a gallery wall in our front room.
A couple weeks ago. We had a Keddington Family Reunion (a reunion with my mom's side of the family) in St. George, UT.
We walked the grounds of the beautiful St. George Temple.

All 13 of my parents Grandkids.
Noel with her cousins, Henry and Maddy. I love that they're all holding hands.
Noel and Maddy.
Morgan with the kids and Henry.
I sure love my husband...especially when he makes silly faces.
Noel and Sam at the temple.
I'm grateful that families can be together forever.
We celebrated the June Birthdays of the family while we were at the reunion. I was asked to provide the cake so I made sure each person was represented on the cake: Sam, Caitlin (my sister-in-law, Mikey's wife), and my brother, Chris. Sam is big into Dinotrux so I made Ty the main character from Dinotrux, and Caitlin loves kittens with big eyes, and Chris loves fishing.
Sam eating his very large piece of cake.
We went on a hike to Water Canyon. It ended in a slot canyon. It was actually pretty difficult and hard on my body and quite warm on the way up but I did it!
Everyone playing in the water and visiting.
Morgan having fun making a dam.
Looking back the way we came.
Cute lil' Sam.
Our darling Noel just having a ball in the water.
Sam was Morgan's lil' hiking buddy. Noel and Sam did so well on this hike! They hiked the entire way!
The view of where the hike started where our vehicles were parked.
We went to a park and had a picnic lunch after the hike.
At the very large house we were all staying at, there was an indoor pool and Noel and Maddy sure loved playing in it together.
The following day, most of the crew drove up to Toquerville Falls just outside St. George. I didn't go because I was recovering from the previous days hike. Morgan took the kids up with everyone and they had a blast.
Sam got in some good wrestling time and rough housing with cousins and 2nd cousins. He's the one in the light green shirt.
The last night, we all went to the famous Tuacahn Amphitheatre to see Peter Pan. The kids really enjoyed it!
The next day we packed up and we all went out separate ways. My parents and my Grandma headed up to our neck of the woods since we only live 4 hours away from St. George and they took turns staying with 3 of the 4 of us siblings that live here in UT. We had a blast. To celebrate Chris's birthday we went up to Payson Lakes and had lunch and went canoeing and fishing.
Noel went on the canoe with Ty and Chris.
She caught a fish!
The gang.
Sam was timid to go on the canoe so my Mom went with.
Grandpa and Sam fishing.
My parents took a canoe ride, just the two of them. It was cute.
My parents set up our new trampoline for us while they were here. It was so nice of them! Morgan threw his back out during the reunion and wouldn't have been able to do it so this was a huge help! The cousins were over during this time for some water fun in the backyard and loved jumping on the trampoline once it was all set up.
Sam and Noel got to jump on it first by themselves. They were in heaven.
Then the cousins joined.
The next day we went to Ems and Ben's home to play and the kids played with their chickens.
The sunset was beautiful that night.
We had such a great time and are so grateful my parents and my grandma came up after the reunion. Any time we can get with family makes life that much better.
Then came Father's Day. I was lame and neglected to take a picture on this particular day of Morgan with the kiddos. But I did snap this picture of a card Morgan received from Sam. I love these kinds of cards and love to see the answers that are given.
The kids jump on their new trampoline all the time. I love watching them. On this particular morning they took some of their stuffed animals outside to jump with them and I snapped a picture as Sam threw his monkey into the air. It was pretty funny.
About to play the Wii. The kids sure love Summer.
More trampoline fun but this time with the sprinkler underneath.
The kids got a hold of my phone.
Silly kiddos.
Recently, we had homemade pizza and watched a movie (a.k.a. Young Family Theatre).
This last Friday, while at a park with a couple friends and their kids, Noel hopped on a Sam sized bike without training wheels and learned all on her own to ride it. She was so excited to get home and ride her bike without training wheels, so that is exactly what she did the next day. Morgan helped her initially and after some tears of frustration and doubt she learned to do it all on her own on her own bike. We are so proud of her.
Happy girl.
