This is happening...

As of this last Monday I'm 38 weeks along. The picture below is at 36 weeks. I've had my first three weekly check ups and I've progressed to 2.5 cm dilated and 80% effaced and the baby is good and low. We have been very busy trying to get all the things done that we need to before she comes. We recently finished painting each of the kids rooms. Noel's room has now become Noel's and Sam's room. The kids got a new bunk bed and that's been set up. We also have set up the nursery in Sam's old room and it's ready to go. We got out all of Noel's old baby clothes and washed them and hung them up and put them in the dresser, so we are ready there as well. This is all becoming so real and we are so excited to meet this baby and add another little life into our family. We also feel so blessed that this pregnancy has been non-eventful and everything has gone well thus far.
The kids have really been more interested in the stories from the Book of Mormon and so we've been reading from the "Scripture Hero" Series and the Book of Mormon Stories for children books. They've been wanting their own scriptures for quite a while so we went to our local Deseret Book and they each got their own copy. Noel reads it on her own consistently, usually a verse at a time at night in bed. I found this picture on my phone a couple weeks back that she took of herself. It just melts my heart and reminds me how important the gospel is and how as their mother, I have an important responsibility to teach them the stories and the values and principles that you can learn from them and bear them my testimony of it's truthfulness. I sure love our kids and how excited they are for life. They really humble me at times and make me want to be a better person.
4th of July was an exciting event at our home. We had two different 4th of July celebrations. The first was with family. The Reynolds were in town for a visit so we hosted a BBQ at our place with my brother Chris and his family, and my sister Emilie and her family. We had a BLAST (literally;))! Morgan was so excited as usual to purchase fireworks. He has sure become quite the pyro.
 Some of the gang.
The men played some Bocce ball.
 The fireworks were fun...
...and a little scary to some.:-)

 Ems and baby Ruth:)
Lighting off the fireworks that shoot out parachutes so Ben and the kids were ready to try to catch them.

Noel and Henry. They are so cute together.
The second of our 4th of July celebrations was a block party that we hosted at our place as well. It was an amazing turn out and it was fun getting to know our neighbors on the street a little more. There were 9 total homes/families that attended. We had 4 BBQ's lined up in front of our home and everyone brought their own meat and a side dish and we all ate and visited and had a great time. Of course there were fireworks at the end...major fireworks.
Across the street a kiddie pool was set up and the kids played games and ran around having a good time with their friends.

You can kind of see some of the aftermath of the fireworks in the middle of the street. There were quite a few very large ones that were set off which made me quite nervous but ultimately they were all very cool.

Noel the other day caught a butterfly and it was just sitting on her finger. She was so excited about it.
We had a lot of leftover hamburger and hot dog buns from the block party so we went and fed ducks.
Morgan came home one evening from work and went out and joined the kids on the trampoline.
We've been doing some painting and the kids helped us paint Noel's room.

It's been so hot. So the kids have been enjoying the splash pad.

 I sure love these two.
A couple Friday's ago Morgan celebrated his birthday a little early with 9 of his buddies from work and they went to Kyoto for dinner (a Tepanyaki type restaurant) and then they went back to his workplace and played video games for a few hours. So the kids and I that evening got pizza and watched Kung Fu Panda 3 on VidAngel.
Cute lil' Sam after a haircut.
 Noel playing with playdough.
Setting up the crib for baby. The kids were so excited to help.
The kids helped put the first part of their bunk bed together as well, but then things got a little crowded in their room so we set up the rest of it for them and got everything ready for them before they got to see the finished product. This is before they were about to see their room and bunk bed for the first time.
Their new shared room! Happy lil' kids on their new bunk bed.

This last Saturday we took the kids to the Spanish Fork Fiesta Days Fish Rodeo. They did this last year for the first time and loved it, so we are making it a tradition. They catch the fish in this man made pond with a net or their bare hands, whichever they prefer. They caught them so fast this time around.

We helped my brother Mikey and his wife Caitlin move into their first home this weekend. And this is the only picture I took darnit, but this is Noel with their new Collie puppy, Casper. He is so cute and so sweet and the kids had fun playing with him.
Morgan's 31st birthday was yesterday and we went to Tucano's Brazilian Grill as a family.
Some of the staff sang to him for his birthday and they gave him a tambourine and he was shaking his thang like crazy! It was hilarious! I sure love my guy.
We came home and had cake and ice cream.
He LOVES Costco cake so per his request, that is what we got and I added my own touch to it.... Chewbacca. In this picture he is making the Chewbacca noise just before he blew out the candle.
 I love my family.

Finally the nursery is put together and ready.

We just signed Noel up for Soccer for the fall and just went and got her jersey today. She is very excited!
Finally our kitchen is completely back to normal. The cabinet guy came out this last Saturday and put the toe kicks on the base of the cabinets and we put the transition pieces in tonight. We finished the painting a couple of weeks ago, so it's done and it feels good!
