Wow, what a Summer. It has flown and I'm a little sad to see that we only have a couple of weeks left until the kids start school again. We've been busy and have had lots of fun. Here's what's been going on on our end of life:)
We had our annual 4th of July Neighborhood BBQ at our home for the 2nd year. There were around 60+ people and TONS of fireworks. Here's Morgan with his stash of fireworks. There were a few others who brought some major fireworks so the stash grew into a heap eventually.
Lots of visiting, bocce ball, food and fireworks.
Evelyn saying "Hi".
The aftermath, it's so hard to see, but there were tons of the leftovers of the fireworks sitting in the middle of the road afterwards.
We took a trip to CA to visit family and to surprise my mom for her 60th Birthday. We stayed at Mary and Gary's and were able to see relatives from Texas from Gary's side of the family. We also visited Morgan's grandparents. Morgan's Great Aunt and Morgan's grandmother hadn't seen each other in 50 or so years. So it was cool to be there when they reunited.
We were able to see Brian a little as well:)
Evelyn with her Great Grandmother.
Sam and Uncle Brian.
Noel with her Great Grandmother.
We went back to Nanna and Pappa's room and took pictures. From left to right we have Morgan's Pappa, Gary's cousin Mike, Morgan's Nanna, Morgan's Great Aunt Toni, and Julia ( Mike's wife).
This picture of Morgan hangs on the wall at Mary and Gary's. Sam definitely has his Daddy's genes and I'm so glad:) What a cutie!
So my Mom turned 60 years old in July and a couple weeks prior to her birthday, all 5 of her kids, their spouses, and their children showed up at the Reynolds, to surprise her. We gave her camping reservations to Manresa State Beach as part of her birthday surprise. Since January or so we were planning this and we were so glad that she was so surprised and somehow the beans were not spilled about it. During this time my parents home was mostly torn up due to some renovations taking place there. So the Reynolds accommodated those families who didn't have other family close by. We have such wonderful friends.
This picture is when my mom was finding out we were going to the beach to go camping for her birthday!
The Reynolds have an American Ninja Course built in their backyard and some of the kids and the guys played on it.
Pretty lil' Evelyn.
Aunt Leslie and Evelyn.
My Grandma was also able to make it for the surprise and stay for a couple of days. We made sure to get a picture of all of us with her after church on Sunday.
Goofy picture.
Michela has a couple horses and she gave the kids horse rides. Noel really loved riding one of the horses and brushing her.
Here and there we'd head over to my parents where the guys helped my parents with their kitchen renovations and such.

Getting camp set up.
Morgan creating the "Watkins Reunion 2017" in the sand. He worked so hard on that!
Sam and some of his cousins found a sandy hill to slide down.
My mom with Evelyn. The beach was a lil' chilly.
The finished product with the main 2 lovely humans:)
Sam with his cousin Ty. I love this picture of them.
Noel playing in the water with a couple of her cousins. She was in the water a lot.
Ben, Chris, Caitlin and I playing Spike Ball, my new favorite game. It's a little like volleyball and table tennis. It was so fun!
The gang.
Another part of the gang.
Me and my lil' buddy.
Morgan and Evelyn.
More of the gang.
Noel was FREEZING. The water was so cold.
Noel with her cousin Maddy.
My mom and dad played some frisbee.
Evelyn fell asleep at the beach.
Running down the hill.
Evelyn loved being pulled around in a wagon with her cousin Ruth. Those smiles from those too are priceless!
Sam with Ty, Tommy and Henry.
What a poser.
Evelyn all sunscreened up.
Running away from the waves.
Sam taking his turn being buried in the sand.
Grandma and Grandpa Watkins with their 16 grandkids!
The whole gang! All 28 of us!
We camped a total of 3 nights. The week flew and before we knew it we were home. I'm so grateful for the time we were able to spend with Morgan's family and my family and that we could surprise my beautiful and wonderful mother and celebrate her 60 years on this earth. Family is so important and Morgan and I are so grateful to have wonderful parents.
We came home to 4 eggs that one of our chickens started laying while we were gone. We get 1 per day still. We are farmers!
Evelyn has started to pull herself to stand. This is what I found when she woke up from a nap recently. She's so stinkin' cute.
Noel drew this the other day. It reads, "God loves each of us" and it's Jesus hugging a child.
We signed the kids up again for the Spanish Fork Fiesta Days Fish Rodeo. They sure have fun getting in there and catching a trout with a net or bag.
Noel won $5 because she caught one of the prize winning fish.
Check out the size of that brown egg. That is one extra large egg! Our chicken usually lays a medium to large size. The white ones are store bought large size eggs to show the difference in color and size.
My man turned 32! I took him on a date to Tucanos Brazilian Grill to celebrate. They sang to him and of course he did a little dance with the tambourine they gave him. He's got moves.
I love sure love that man. He keeps me laughing. He continues to make me want to be a better person. He's got such a great smile and his humor can be so cheesy, but that's why I love him. I'm grateful for my handsome, goofy, stalwart, honest, caring, giving, and kind man that I get to be with for eternity.
Morgan prefers store bought cakes which makes my job a little easier. I made the number 32 with the candles.
We've had some rain here and there this summer. Not as much as we were hoping for this year but we are grateful for when it does happen because there's almost always a fun thunderstorm along with it. Here are the kiddos jumping on the trampoline in the rain.
Our little Evelyn Claire turned 1. I can't believe it. This last year has flown. Evelyn is now crawling all over the place, pulling herself to stand, she says "Hi", waves, knows the sign language for "more" and "all done" which helps when she is eating, wakes up once or twice a night most nights (usually within the first couple of hours of putting her down), snuggles with me when I lay on the ground next to her, and she's only nursing 1 to 2 times a day!
I took some pictures to document her turning 1.
We had fun at the Lindon Aquatic Center. It was a party that our realtors company put on.
Happy Evelyn with her new walker from Grandma and Grandpa Young.
This is Mr. Hugawuggle. It's Morgan's birthday card from me. Ever since his birthday Morgan and I have been hiding it in the most silly places. It is so hilarious at times. On this particular day, I opened up the toilet and there he was. I hope we keep this tradition going for the rest of our lives. It sure brings a smile to my face or seriously makes me laugh hysterically.
Sweet little Evelyn.
We celebrated Evelyn's birthday as well as Morgan's and Kareena's birthday at our home. It was fun to get together with family.
Chris and Caitlin playing volleyball.
The gang.
Evelyn's birthday cake. This owl is similar to the one in the picture with Evelyn below.
Evelyn eating her birthday cake. She didn't have as much as I thought she would.
We are now getting about 6 eggs a day from our chickens. Sometimes we get ginormous eggs that have double yolks in them.
And finally one of our Ameraucana's started laying the blueish greenish egg.
The kids are so excited each day to go out and get the eggs. It's like Easter egg hunting every day.
Sam hit his head on the corner of the windowsill ridiculously hard. Luckily it only bled a little and for that I'm grateful but poor guy. His head was really tender and there was a significant gooseegg on his head.
We finally got a baby gate/fence.
Um, so I've learned that you have to check on your cucumbers everyday. Goodness, those things grow so fast. The large ones are obviously bitter. If they are light green, that's a good indicator. But the smaller green ones are definitely going to be delicious. And that zucchini tasted heavenly.
Noel started up soccer again. Her team is called the Eagles.
