So, we've been up to a lot so I thought I'd try to get the updates on the blog before the rest of the summer hits! This is a new record for me, updating the blog so soon after the other:)
Well, this is a Bald Faced Hornet/Bull Wasp that came into our house. It flew right above my head and into the house as I opened the sliding glass door. It was HUGE! Because it's dead in this pic it shriveled a little, but guys, it was SO BIG! The kids and I evacuated the house and Morgan killed it. My skin was crawling!
Cowboy Donuts is a new donut place in town. They have some dang good donuts there!
We've been up to a lot in our backyard still. It feels like we will never be done. Morgan trimmed some of the branches off of the bottom of our trees in the back and Sam did an awesome job making a pile of them in the backyard. He is such a good helper.
Noel is an awesome helper as well. Here she is cleaning out the chicken run.
This is Father's Day morning after Morgan opened up his Father's Day gifts.
Sam did this for Morgan in Church for Father's Day. I love his responses!
My handsome hubby with our beautiful children.
Morgan and Sam with matching church outfits and ties.
Sam finished Tball season. He did so well! We are thrilled that he wants to play next year. I thought I would share some pictures I took of him at one of the last games he played in.
After throwing. I love this.
Love that cute lil' face.
Playing second base, reaching for the ball.
Tongue out.
High fivin' the other team.
Cute lil' Evelyn in her crib one morning.
Sam put a lego car together all by himself which is new for him!
Noel put her lego owl together all by herself too.
T-post fence up! Now onto the gate.
The kids and I went to a Magic Show at the Springville Library last week. This guy was so entertaining and so hilarious, even for all of the adults. I couldn't stop laughing.
Morgan finished the gate to the fence. He designed it himself. He is amazing:) We don't have to worry about the chickens getting into the garden any longer.
We attended a Lego Event last week as well. It was definitely something that Morgan and the kids sure loved. And I loved seeing them all so happy and enjoying themselves.
Someone built scenes from Studio C. Notice the Scott Sterling scene on the very left. HILARIOUS!
The USS Missouri.
Morgan was in awe at the awesomeness of it all.
More pics of Morgan looking at the lego creations with the kids.
Starship Enterprise.
LDS Temples around the world.
There was a HUGE lego pit in the middle of this event center with tons of legos and kids and...very big "kids":)
Noel's creation.
Sam's creation.
Morgan's creation. He was a little hungry...hence the lego burger;)
Sam graduated from Upstart, the free online Preschool program that the state of UT puts on. He is now more than ready for Kindergarten.
You can register your children as early as the age of 1 year old so we registered Evelyn. We sure love what Upstart did for Sam and his growth and knowledge.
Sam got a water slide for his birthday so we got that out this last weekend and the kids had so much fun with it. It would have worked a lot better if we had even a little bit of a hill but they still had fun anyways.
I spy with my little eye...a tooth! Another one popped up next to it during the last few days!
This last Monday we attended a Customer Appreciation party called the Holiday Mash-Up Party given by our realtor from a couple years ago who happens to also be Emilie and Ben's realtor as well. There was trunk-or-treating, Santa Clause, the Easter Bunny with an Easter Egg Hunt, a New Years Eve Countdown, bounce houses, hot dogs, pumpkin pies, etc. Here are the Coxes and the Young's eating hotdogs.
Henry and Sam with their balloon swords.
Noel had a princess crown made for her.
Before the Easter Egg Hunt.
During the Easter Egg Hunt.
Bowling.
There was also some Bubble Ball. Morgan and Ben were hilarious to watch. They would take turns taking each other out and then running at each other at the same time and both flying backwards. Noel and Henry also were fun to watch playing bubble ball.
Henry and Noel. I love that they are best friends.
On Tuesday we went to a Circus performance. It was the first time for the kids and I to see something like that. It was awesome.
Noel and Sam got to ride a camel. It was so cool!
There was an elephant ride as well but the line was too long to participate. Next time though, we will definitely have to do that.
Evelyn fell asleep towards the end.
The kids and I found a juvenile dove in our backyard. It was hanging out in our yard here and there for a few days. At one point during those few days I saw the chickens jumping on it and pecking out a few of its tail feathers. I stopped them and realized that it wasn't flying at all since we had seen it, that it was walking around all the time and something seemed wrong. So, I caught it and the kids and I took a little road trip Wednesday to the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Price, UT. We were hoping to make more of the trip by seeing the center in action and the animals in there but the owner of the center needed to help the dove quickly fearing that it wasn't going to make it. Apparently it was still dependent on it's mother for food and it hadn't eaten in several days. Since dropping it off, I got a call from the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center saying that the bird is doing a lot better and will probably make it.
Heading out on our little bird saving adventure. It was fun. I felt a little hippy-esque, saving a bird and all, but it felt good. We felt like we did a good thing and made a fun trip of it.
