The rest of April and into May

A few weeks back we went to a nearby park just because. We are loving our warmer weather!
Sam is under Noel in that basket believe it or not;)
For school Sam had to build a vehicle of some sort for what is called the "Kindy 500". Sam wanted a white truck with flames so Morgan taught him how to spray paint it.

The finished product.

Before the parade around the school for the "Kindy 500" Sam participated in a program where they sang some patriotic songs.
Sam in his awesome truck during the parade.

Noel and I attended a Mother/Daughter Activity Days activity a couple Saturdays ago.
Noel was supposed to bring something that she had accomplished in the last 6 months or so, so she brought a painting of hers to display.
Noel wanted to get a picture of the little suns that we brought home from the activity.
We had some random cold weather that dropped hail/snow and there was even some thunder during it. It was pretty cool.

Noel recently finished up another soccer season. Even when it was in the upper 30's and low 40's she still had her games. It was pretty darn cold!
Morgan and I got away on a date and left all 3 kids with a babysitter. We went to our new Olive Garden here in town and then we went Glow in the Dark Mini Golfing.
I beat him;) What's fun about this is that our very first date back in the day, consisted of Olive Garden and mini golfing and on that particular night we tied during that game and that scorecard from about 11 years ago now is framed in our room:)
 Cute lil' Evelyn.
I took some pictures of one of Noel's last soccer games. She did so well this year. She scored 1 goal and improved a lot this last year.

Sam went on a field trip with his kindergarten class. They went to the Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City. It was his first bus ride. He was in the same group as one of his good buddies whose Mom was also there taking pictures and sending them to me throughout the day.

Sam built this lego set all by himself. It took him 1 1/2 days and whenever he'd have time he was working on it. It was so cute.
 Sam lost his 4th tooth.
Buddies.
T-ball season has begun and Sam is more excited and confident this time around. It'll be his 2nd year and he knows half of the boys on the team from school. He is such a good little baseball player. This was from his Tball practice.
We finished remodeling the kids/guest bathroom. This one didn't take nearly as long as the other bathroom which was nice. Unfortunately I didn't take any before pictures. We put in new floor, baseboards, new paint on the walls and new shower/tub fixtures.

Now we are moving onto our fire pit area in our backyard. I took out a cement slab to start things off a few days ago. I tell you what, taking a sledgehammer to concrete is really difficult but
actually quite fun. That pile of concrete is about 1/3 of what originally was there. The other 2/3's is in our garbage can.
I was reading to Evelyn one evening and she put both of her legs up on me like this...she is such a goofball. Her personality sure is blossoming.
We have been receiving quite a bit of rain. The kids went out and jumped on the trampoline in the rain.
Then it started hailing and they could only take so much so they ran inside.
Morgan ran in his first Ragnar Race in Zions National Park. He had a blast and says he'd do it again. He had 3 different shifts of trail running, 3 miles, 5 miles and 7 miles.

Mother's Day was wonderful. The kids showered me with things they've been working on at school, church and home. Morgan made me one of my favorite meats, salmon:)
Evelyn recently started going to Nursery at church. (It took me a while to get used to the idea because we've had such a horrible cold and flu season this year.) Evelyn even made me something for Mother's Day in Nursery.
We also went for a walk on Mother's Day. It started out nice and sunny...
But as we neared our house, it got stormy, windy, dark and started to rain! It was a fun adventure.
Sam has done so well in Kindergarten. Here is a page from his journal from school. He writes so well and sounds words out so well. I can't believe he will be in 1st grade next year!:(
The kids had a Water Fun Day at school. They had a firetruck shooting water out into the field for the kids to play in.
 Noel reading to Evelyn.
Evelyn hanging out on the arm of the couch. When she sat there she slumped down and said, "I'm so tiyud." It was adorable.
Hanging out in the shade on our deck.
Evelyn likes to chase the chickens and say, "Chickens....hugs....chickens...hugs". She even adds a little "pweez" here and there.
Sam's 1st Tball game of the season. He is LOVING it this year!

 Evelyn likes to "bwush teef".

 Being silly.
I came across this picture recently. Oh my goodness. Why can't time stop? They are all growing up too fast.
We live in a beautiful area and I've been trying to get out and enjoy it more this year. I've been going on walks 3-4 times a week which has really been nice. The weather has been beautiful too!
Sam graduated from Kindergarten. He was so nervous for the Kindergarten Graduation program but he did so well. He shook his hips and sang throughout all of the songs.
Sam with his amazing teacher, Mrs. Robinson. Noel had her as well. We absolutely love her.

 Hugs all around.

Noel recently had a project in school where she had to invent something. She invented "Flip Flop Socks". These socks help prevent blisters and rubbing when you wear flip flops.

She presented her invention to her class. She did such a good job.

 Evelyn LOVES the "tampoween".
She loves to be on it with her siblings too. It's fun to watch her bounce around and fall and tumble and even jump herself.

The kids recently had a carnival at their school. They love going to this every year. They played on the inflatables...
 ...climbed the rock wall...

...and even dunked a teacher in the dunk tank.
This last weekend was a busy day outside in our backyard. We planted our vegetable garden and planted flowers in our flower beds and some pots. Evelyn played in the little swimming pool for some of the time on Saturday.
Noel and Sam built forts in the backyard.
 More water fun.
Planting the garden. This year we planted corn, strawberries, tomatoes (cherry and salsa tomatoes), cilantro, jalapeno's, cucumbers, zuchinni, and pumpkin.
The kids helped to to plant the flowers. They also got to choose out some flowers for the flower pots.

Then we got out the sprinkler and put it under the trampoline. That is always so fun for the kids to do.
I love this picture because Evelyn is totally in mid-air! Haha.
On Sunday I taught Noel a little bit about sewing and about how to use my sewing machine. I also taught her how to hand sew. She really liked it.
