Summer is FLYING and I'm so behind on updates!

A while back I took some pictures of the kids. My brother Mikey edited them for me.
They turned out so well.

Running on the Spanish Fork River Trail with the kids on their scooters.
We came across a very large caterpillar on our run and did some research and it looks like it's a Sphinx Moth. We like to call them hummingbird moths.
Evelyn got out and ran during the last part of the run.
Then we played at the park.

The kids finished their swimming lessons and on their last day it was just a fun swimming day. They both got to jump off the diving board and go down a fun water slide. Sam needed help the first couple of times jumping off the diving board but then he did it on his own which was a big deal. He is our timid and cautious one and for him to do something that scares him is SOOOOO GOOD for him. Noel just did it by herself right off the bat! I'm so proud of both of them. They both leveled up to the next level in swimming. They did awesome and loved swimming every morning for two weeks!

Here's Noel swimming in the deep end all by herself after jumping off of the diving board. She is quite the swimmer!

We hiked the Y as a family. It was an amazing experience. Here the kids are pointing up to where the Y is before our hike.

The view from one of the first switchbacks.

It was such a steep hike.

Running the last stretch to the top of the Y.

Hiking back down. Evelyn hiked down a ways too.
 Gotta take a kissy picture.
You can see the people at the top of the Y.

WE DID IT! It hurt going down more than it hurt going up but going down went so much quicker. It took about 1 hour and 40 minutes round trip and it was about an 1100 ft elevation gain and we hiked between 2.25 and 2.5 miles round trip.

After the hike we went to Water Park here in town where the kids had their swimming lessons and had some fun swimming and cooling off on a hot day.

Sometimes we think we are living with a hamster or something;) We named her Evelyn.
Noel and Evelyn made a fort in our closet and Noel read to Evelyn in there. It was so cute.
Grandma and Grandpa Young and Grandma and Grandpa Watkins came into town for Sam's Baptism last weekend. We all had a blast. Here Sam is opening up his birthday gift from Grandma and Grandpa Young.
Ship in a bottle lego set! He put that together so fast. He is a amazing.
 Reading with Grandpa Young.
Celebrating the 4th of July with a bbq and making fairy gardens with Grandma Young. We also celebrated Mary's b-day on the 4th since they were traveling on her birthday.

We had a yummy chocolate cake to celebrate!
FIREWORKS! It was actually a chilly evening. We needed jackets and blankets to stay warm!

 Science experiments with Grandma Young.
Sam's Baptism day! We are so proud of Sam in his choice to be baptized and become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It was a special day and we are grateful to all who could come and support him.

Sam's friend Jonah was baptized a little earlier that morning and they gave each other the biggest hug when they saw each other. It was so cute.

Here are the traditional temple pictures I took of Sam for his baptism. My talented brother Mikey also edited these for me. This 8 year old handsome boy sure warms our hearts.

Mosiah 18:10 "Now I say unto you, if this be the desire of your hearts, what have you against being baptized in the name of the Lord; as a witness before him that ye have entered into a covenant with him, that ye will serve him and keep his commandments, that he may pour out his Spirit more abundantly upon you?"

We got the kids a couple of youth sit-on-top kayaks. The following pictures are of their first time trying them out with their friends at the reservoir. Their friends also brought their own. They had a blast and they LOVE their kayaks!
Sam sitting on the back of his kayak while his friend Jonah was at the front.

We went and fed the ducks in Springville...
...and then went to a program at the Springville Library about our bodies and how cool they are and the amazing things that they can do!
The next day we went back to the Springville Library to see their petting zoo. The kids got to pet a baby yak, a baby wallaby, a baby zebra, baby pigs and goats and bunnies, ducks and chickens. It was so cool!

After the petting zoo, we ventured over to the reservoir again to play some more. There was a fun little thundercloud that hung around for a few minutes when we first arrived and then we had a couple hours of sunshine. The kids kayaked a lot and played in the sand and water.
